Rosa y Verde / Pink and Green

Ayer visitando el blog Inspiring interiors vi una foto que me inspiró con una combinación de colores que me encanta: rosa y verde. Si bien puede parecer arriesgado resulta de lo más femenino y favorecedora....¿demasiado cursi?....tal vez no me pondría el sombrero (fotografía tomada en Ascot), pero las alpargatas de Louboutin me vuelven loca! ¿os gusta?

Yesterday i was inspired by a photo in Inspiring interiors with the combination pink + green. Some may find it too risky (it is indeed for me to wear those colours in a hat -picture taken at Ascot-), but it is so feminine, sweet and flattering....do you find it too girly? I would love to have those Louboutin espadrilles...and you?

Pizarras / Chalkboards

Me gusta tener una pizarra en casa, mis lugares favoritos son la cocina o la habitación de los niños. es una idea muy útil y divertida y además puedes hacerlo tú mismo gracias a una pintura especial que crea superficie de pizarra. ¿Te animas?

I love chalkboards at home, my favourite places for a blackboard would be the kitchen or the kids room. I fancy this original and funny idea, would you fancy one?

Moreover, it is really easy to make using a blackboard paint...shall we give it a try?

¡¡Flores, flores, flores!! / Flowers, flowers, flowers!!

No sé si os habéis dado cuenta, pero aún no había ningún post sobre flores en mi blog "flores y rayas", bueno, el nombre en realidad quería reflejar un concepto...

Con la llegada del sol, cada día apetece más rodearte de flores y sobre todo, si son tan bonitas como estas.

Maybe you have already noticed it....but having a blog called "flowers and stripes" this is my first post about flowers....well, the name was more a concept rather that a summary of the content of the blog.

Anyway, the sun is shining now in Spain and we are all in the mood for having flowers around, even more if they are as beautiful as this arrangements.

Y....vestidos amarillos! / And...yellow dresses!

Lo reconozco, me animé con el post de ayer de la deco en amarillo, y me han entrado ganas de muchos vestidos amarillos....el año pasado me compré uno y ya estoy deseando ponérmelo... ¿qué os parecen las siguientes sugerencias?

ok....i have to admit it...yesterday i loved looking for yellow interiors, and now i feel on the mood for loads of yellow dresses.....last year i bought myself one, i'm looking forward to wearing it!

Amarillo / Yellow

El color amarillo nos da energía, nos llena de luminosidad y alegría. Es un color arriesgado, tal vez no te atrevas a apostar por él en la decoración....pero tal vez viendo las siguientes fotos cambies de idea... desde luego un ambiente así no te dejará indiferente, ¡derrocha personalidad!

The Yellow colour brings energy out, gives plenty of light and happiness to any room. It is indeed a risky colour, you may not dare to use it in your decoration...but you may do it when you see the following pics...these creations will not leave you indifferent...they are pure glamour!

Puertas de colores / Colourful doors

Qué buena forma de darte la bienvenida si cuando llegas a casa te encuentras con alguna de las puertas de las fotos. Son puertas llenas de personalidad, que invitan a entrar a casas seguro que muy interesantes. Muchas veces solo es necesario algo de imaginación y un toque de pintura para darle un nuevo aire a tu entrada.

¿Te animarias con algo así? ¿qué te inspira cruzar una de estas puertas? ¿cómo te imaginas la casa detrás de ellas?

What a welcoming gift if you arrive home and see one of these wonderful doors. These doors have great impact and invite you to enter homes that seem very interesting....look! you just need some imagination and a colourful paint to renew your doorway.

Nueva temporada: cambio en el blog / NEW SEASON

Después de varios meses sin publicar ningún post, he decidido retomarlo y darle un nuevo giro al blog. A partir de hoy, mi blog será en inglés y en español, para así poder acceder a más gente. Quiero hacer un blog más participativo y dinámico, deseo que colaboreis conmigo y me deis vuestras opiniones.

After some months without writing in this blog, i've decided to return to it and give the blog a change. From now on, it'll be written both in English and Spanish, so that more people can read me. Os pongo una frase bastante inspiradora....y muy adecuada para el momento que estamos viviendo...¿quien no se ha sentido así en algún momento? a veces es más fácil esconder la cabeza, esperar a que la suerte venga a buscarnos, que las cosas cambien por sí solas.....pero hace falta luchar y aprender a vencer las dificultades, poner de nuestra parte e invertir nuestro esfuerzo y empeño para alcanzar lo que deseamos. ¿qué os parece? ¿os motiva esforzaros y luchar por vuestros sueños?

Today I begin with an inspiring sentence (even more in this times...)...who has not felt that way at any time? sometimes it is easier to hide away, wait until things change by themselves and luck knocks at our door....but our work and effort is needed, we should stand up and strive to achieve our dreams....what do you think? are you motivated to put difficulties aside and struggle for your dreams?
